A Giving Plate Giveaway!! APRIL 16, 2024 / KELLI NAPOTNIK / Sharing meals among friends and loved ones is an outward extension of the love we have for each other and the friendships we cultivate. Often, the recipes we share have stories behind them. When you bring a meal to someone, you are not just bringing a plate of food, but part of yourself!
Several months ago, our team member, Nadia, shared a creative way of sharing a meal that I loved and wanted to recreate. A giving plate is a memorable way to share food between friends and family. Use it to transport your favorite meal and leave the plate for the recipient to pass on. It keeps the cycle of giving going and is a sweet way to bless another friend with a meal or treat!
When I was looking for an oven safe plate to make my own giving plate, I discovered a beautiful watercolor giving plate made from melamine at my local thrift store! My son was shopping with me, not too excited to be in the thrift store with me. When I saw it, I may have given a shout of joy at its discovery! I was able to find both an oven safe plate to make my own, and this beautiful giving plate that I want to send to one of you! Stay tuned at the end of this post for the GIVEAWAY details!
I love the thoughtfulness and creativity behind a giving plate. To make your own, follow these simple step-by-step instructions.
